Description
Your journey begins at our Mendes Ranch Corral, where you are greeted by real Paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys). Embark on our 2-hour, Paniolo-guided trail ride! Canter up rolling pastures into the lush Hawaiian rainforest, and gaze down into Eki Crater to view some of Maui's largest waterfalls.
This narrated tour then continues on down the mountain, where you will see Hawaiian taro patches and plantation homes. The trail continues down through Waihe'e Valley to the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, where we will be glad to take a picture of you on horseback with the majestic seascape as a background.
Our horses are tame and gentle. Riders of all skill levels will love this tour!
Choose our Paniolo Lunch Option and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch after your morning ride! Indulge in BBQ ribs, chicken, beans, salad, dinner roll & beverages!

My wife has always been afraid of horses. She was a little upset that I had even setup this as part of our vacation. The people at the Mendes Ranch were great, they set her up with a very gentle horse and some encouragement and she had a terrific time. So much so that she wants to go horseback riding again. I would recommend this activity to anyone. It was well worth the time and money!!! I would like to thank Butch all the people out at the ranch for making this a high point of our vacation!!! Howard S

We had 3 generations in our group and from

We thoroughly enjoyed this ride. The horses were chosen to match everyone's ability. The views and guides were great. I recommend bringing a bandana to cover your face. There was quite a bit of dust. Sunglasses or eye protection is a must. We loved it and can't wait to do it again.

My family and I had a wonderful time. Everyone was very caring and alert to our needs. The path we took was beautiful and we loved the fact that the company let us and our horses run a few times, my daughter loved that. We would definitely recommend the company to all our friends and family.

The farm was great and the crew went out of their way to ensure that we had a good time. Accommodated my physical limitations with good humor. The weather was poor (rained most of the time), but we were offered a chance to reschedule or to have our fee refunded. We chose to ride and the guides were well informed and made sure that all riders of all levels had a good experience.
