Ask for that early wake-up call! Be sure to dress in warm clothing as the temperature where we're going hovers around 20 degrees Fahrenheit. We're taking you on a 38-mile ascent to the summit of Haleakala (admission included).
Maui's highest dormant volcano, Haleakala, translates from the ancient Hawaiian as "House of the Sun." The name alone indicates a fascinating connection with the sun! The sunrises themselves continue to surprise and delight our visitors day after day. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

The sunrise and the views from the summit of Haleakala are amazing just be sure to dress appropriately because it feels like its freezing with the wind gusts.
The tour bus driver was also highly knowledgeable of many historic points for Maui and Haleakala.

I would recommend this tour - very knowledgeable driver. We missed the sunrise because of the clouds, but the experience made it worth the effort! I will definitely try this again during my next visit to Maui. I chose to take the Sunrise Tour the morning after I arrived at my hotel (checked in at 9pm, then the tour started at 3am) because I knew I would not adjust to the time difference right away. I was the only person that was really awake because the others waited a day or two after they arrived before taking the tour. They all told me that they wished that they did it the same way. Don't know if that will help anyone!

This was one of my best experiences in Hawaii! My friend and I both agreed that it was well worth getting up at 1:45 a.m. Our tour guide was excellent and went out of his way to answer all of my questions and even some I didn't ask relating to the subject. This is a great tour that I would recommend to anyone planning a visit to Maui.
